177 units, 40,000 square feet of commercial space, constructed in 1950. The historical 200,000 square foot, eight-story downtown building was constructed in the 1950’s and was once the site of a Paramount Pictures film. An affiliate of JL acquired the building in 1999 after years of neglect. JL was granted low-income housing tax credits for the project and completed an extensive $6 million renovation in mid 2001. This project was an integral part of the downtown Fairbanks revitalization project.
